Open Mats Gi NOGI

By invitation only: this session is reserved for the competition squad. Athletes are selected by the coach — it is not an open class.

What the class names mean

  • BJJ / Gi

Training in the kimono (gi). Grips on the jacket are part of the game — classic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

  • No-Gi

Grappling without the kimono, in rashguard and shorts. Faster, fewer grips, and the basis for MMA.

  • Beginners

Entry-level class at a slower pace with more explanation. Ideal for your first few months.

  • Sparring

Free rolling with no new material. Intensity is agreed between partners.

  • Open Mats

Open mat rather than a taught class: no new material, you simply work on whatever you want to work on — in the gi or without. Open to all members.

  • Kids Competition Team

Competition preparation for our kids and juniors squad — by invitation only. Athletes are selected by the coach, so it is not an open class. If your child is interested, just speak to us.
